South Africans have no idea what do do at a traffic circle (roundabout)!  Most of them treat them as a 4-way stop!  It means that if you do know what to do at them, you dare not do the right thing (yield to the right), because if you go, knowing that you have the right of way, the chap who arrived momentarily before you (but is treating it as a 4-way stop), may think he has the right of way.

This means that traffic circles are chaos.  No-one knows what they should or shouldn’t do.  And no wonder there are so many accidents on the roads!
