I have been busy, ticking things off my list today. But this time, there weren’t too many quick wins – everything I started, took quite a while to do.
One thing I decided to do this week, is bake a cake. I never bake. And the reason I never bake, is because that means Tim and I have to eat the whole cake! But, I have decided that we can share it out among the neighbours. I have already offered a slice to someone, but refrained from having some myself. Now I am looking forward to Tim getting back from work so I can have a slice of it too!
The other thing I made time for, was to make my mum some pretty beads, which I promised to do. The only other beads I have made her, were a wonky pair I made the first day I started beading a few years ago. Let’s just say I have improved my technique somewhat, and at least my mum will be able to wear this set without feeling embarrassed!
This picture actually make them look much darker than they are – the big dark beads are actually a grey-purple colour, and not black, as they look in the photo.
It wasn’t all fun today – I had to do some admin and I cleaned all the blinds in my house. The latter is no easy feat, let me assure you. Our house has very high ceilings: 2.4m ceilings to be exact. And most rooms have floor to ceiling blinds on multiple windows.
Fact: we have no curtains in our house at all.
As you can imagine, we have many ladders to reach various heights. I can’t even touch the top of our door frames without using one!
