For those who know me, know that I love a bargain. My house is (mostly) furnished by bargains, many from ebay or car boot sales. Unfortunately though, I cannot give away my bargain hunting secrets!

I am happy to report that I have acquired another bargain, but this time the goods come with a story … I bought online 4 x Philippe Starck Kartell chairs at a bargain price of £50 each.

Tim and I popped into Central Manchester earlier today to go and pick them up, and the chap who sold them told us their story:
These chairs used to belong to Robbie Williams who used them for the duration of his last tour. At the end of the tour, they threw them out as it is cheaper to throw them out than to store them. As he works with the band, he was told that he could help himself to anything before it lands in the skip, so he picked these … but they don’t have room for them in their flat, so he decided to sell them – to me!
They have taken proud place in our kitchen. The kitchen chairs are on their way to London to go and live in the rented-out house. Now all I need is a ghost table, then the kitchen will look much bigger!
